Opportunity is Knocking: Will You Answer?

So you’ve landed an enternship. You’ve been assigned tasks. You’ve settled into your position. This is great, but is this really all an enternship is?

No, not at all.

As an entern myself, I believe enternships can have limitless possibilities. It’s not just a simple work placement. An enternship is your opportunity to explore your career field, the people and the lifestyle.

That said, they only way an entern can have these unique and valuable experiences is by saying “YES!” to every opportunity presented.

Meeting a client for coffee? Attending a networking event after work? Scoping out an event on the weekend? Say “YES!” to offers like these because you may find many offers to be once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.

According to the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills, 340,000 people will leave Higher Education this summer and enter one of the toughest job markets in decades. As an entern you must think of what will set you apart from other graduates and students vying for jobs.

The answer is to find an enternship, and then say “YES!” to all the opportunities you’re given. Opportunity is knocking. Will you answer?
